I think the simplest way to remember this principle is to always ask yourself this question before drilling and tapping: “Am I turning this gun into cash or into fun?”

my personal parameters were that it had to be a 6x or maybe 8x, medium crosshair and should be closer to period than the 1965 that was coming off. That’s it.

Matching a vintage rifle with a period correct scope and mounts creates a historical work of art, but also simplistic functionality that cannot be found anywhere else today.

To allow us to shoot our vintage guns and scopes again without the handicap of old glass has become our vision.

The plan was to put vintage looking optics back in the field on hunting rifles with substantive advantages in function and reliability without having the handicap of the 20th century glass.

I immediately loved the Weaver K-10 with case hardened accents.
