Was the Redfield Mini Ever Used in the Military?

We don’t know, but we recently came across this scope from an estate. A 3/4” Redfield mini 4x with military markings and a matte finish. Telescope 616. Do any of our military folks have firsthand knowledge of the Redfield mini’s purpose/use in the military? If so, please shoot us back an email with what you know. We, and other vintage optics fans, would love to know and to perpetuate the information. This one is 1965-73 production - Vietnam Era.
